Emotional Intelligence

What is emotional intelligence?
Emotional intelligence, in a nutshell, is your ability to recognize and understand emotions in yourself and others, coupled with your ability to use this awareness to productively manage your behavior and relationships. The impact of emotional intelligence on success is powerful. In fact, “EQ” is the single biggest predictor of performance in the workplace and the strongest driver of leadership and personal excellence. And, unlike IQ, EQ, is a flexible skill that can be learned.
How emotionally intelligent are you?
One of the best ways to learn how emotionally intelligent you are is to take a simple but extremely informative EQ Assessment, called EQ-i 2.0. I am certified in administering the assessment and, for a small fee, it’s a great way to explore your EQ and have a comprehensive approach to evaluating your personal and interpersonal skills that may lead to your having a more effective life at work and at home. It will measure, for example, how you compare to others on interpersonal relationships, independence, problem solving, impulse control, flexibility, stress tolerance and more. The EQ-I 2.0 is a product of decades of scientific research on emotional intelligence and your participation will help you identify strengths, as well as facilitate growth in weaker areas. You may be surprised at what you learn!
